The week of May 14-18 is National Bike to Work Week with
Friday, May 18th, being the official Bike to Work Day throughout the US.
If you've been thinking of getting out of your car to save money and
benefit your health and the environment there's no better time to give it a
try. With a little bit of planning you'll be able to turn a challenge
into an enjoyable experience.
While it's too close to the date of this year's Bike to Work
Week/Day to really make your commute a stress-free experience you'll want to
consider taking one or more CyclingingSavvy sessions (cyclingsavvy.org) as soon as you can.
In the mean time you can find tips and advice for your ride from League
of American Bicyclists (www.bikeleague.org)
and many other cycling websites (including cyclingsavvy.org).
For local route suggestions or other advice specific to Lee County
commutes please feel free to contact Dan Moser at dmoser@bikewalklee.org or (239)
334-6417.
