LeeTran's Carmen Monroy named FDOT District 1 SW Area Office Director

Another great appointment by FDOT District 1--LeeTran's Carmen Monroy has been named the new Director of the Southwest Area Office, located in Fort Myers.  Congratulations, Carmen.  BWL looks forward to working with you in your new role.

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Carmen Monroy as the new Director of the SWAO, effective Friday, June 7, 2013. Carmen Monroy comes from a diverse multimodal background with over 20 years experience in transportation.  She has served  Lee County for the past 9 years working as LeeTran’s Financial Business Manager.  Prior to LeeTran, Carmen worked at the City of Cape Coral in Community Development and as Contracts Administrator for the Port of Miami.  Carmen has also served on the State’s Affordable Housing Commission representing Smart Growth interests.  She has a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Florida Gulf Coast University and an undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management.
