The open house is on Tuesday, April 10th from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Lakes Regional Library (15290 Bass Rd., Fort Myers).
The format is an open house with no formal presentation, so drop by anytime during that 2 hour period to review the plans and discuss them with Lee County staff.
The improvements to A & W Bulb Rd. will consist of reconstructing and resurfacing the existing 2-lane roadway between Gladiolus Dr. & Heritage Cove Blvd. The project will widen the travel lanes to 11 feet and add four-foot paved shoulders that will be designated as bike lanes on each side of the road. Also included in the project will be construction of a five-foot sidewalk that will connect the existing sidewalk segments on the east side and will extend from Gladiolus Drive to McGregor Blvd. Improvements will also include roadway drainage, and sewer and water line improvements. The project is estimated to be completed in Spring 2013.
