The federal government now has a guide to federal programs intended to help communities identify resources available to support their efforts to promote livable and sustainable communities. This is part of the Partnership for Sustainable Communities formed in June 2009 by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the US Department of Transportation (DOT), and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
